A little bit of History you didn't know but was afraid to ask :)

Tomorrow is my birthday...we won't go into detail what birthday it is but I wanted to share with you some "vintage" photos:

Bald is beautiful!!!
I did not have much hair on my head!!!!
My mom and I in front of the little one bedroom cabin that we lived in that was on my grandmothers property.  My mom was pregnant with my sister.  My sister and I are twelve months apart, we always celebrated our birthdays at the beginning of September since her birthday is Sept 2nd.
I think I was in kindergarten or 1st grade in this picture.  My mom always permed my hair to look like Shirley Temple now if that doesn't tell my age ;)

This is a picture of my sister and I on Christmas Eve I think I was about 5 years old and my sister was 4. I was such a ham while my sister was more interested in her stocking.  My mom always dressed us as twins.

This is another school picture taken in 1962, I think my mom used to cut my hair notice the bangs
This is my sisters and brothers I am the oldest of 5 my youngest sister wasn't born yet.  My mom still used to dress my sister and I as twins even though we were a year apart.
This is when I was 18 years old can you tell it was the 70's?

Well enough of these I haven't scanned all of the vintage pictures yet.  Oh how I wish sometimes I could go back in time.  Don't you?
Tomorrow also marks the anniversary of the tragedy that happened in New York at the twin towers.  Something that we will never forget please take a moment and remember the people we lost on that day
Thanks for visiting and letting me share some pictures with you on my birthday!!!

I loved your post. I was smiling the whole way through. You story sounds alot like mine. My sister and I are almost one year apart liking 10 days in the month of August and my Mom would always dress us the same like twins and of course everyone thought we were. Yes, sometimes I wish I could go back...but for now look forward to your birthday and I hope you have a great one. Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday! I loved looking through your old photos! What a beauty you are. Oh, sometimes I wish I could go back knowing what I know now. Yep, I do. But then that would take all the fun out of it, wouldn't it?

Happy belated birthday. Great snapshots - it is so fun to look back. And yes, I'd love to be stuck in my late 30's - I won't tell you how long ago that was!

What great photos, Suzann! Happy belated birthday to you! I can remember that 70's look, my older sister used to wear her hair just like that. Oh, and my sister and I always celebrate our birthdays together too, which are one day apart (she is 7 years older than me). Sisters are wonderful, aren't they? Enjoy your weekend!
