More pictures of Zermatt Switzerland

Zermatt was one of my favorite places when I went to Switzerland.  It was so beautiful and the people were  so nice and friendly.  The mountains and country side was just breath taking.

The Village was so quaint and lots of old buildings and flowers
Always saw people working and every day going down the main street of Zermatt the people take their cows home for the night

And here was the view from out hotel balcony
Thanks for coming by and viewing my pictures of Zermatt.  I have some more pictures I will share with you soon.

My new shower curtain

I bought a new shower curtain and I have been working at my bathroom I want to make as white and feminine as possible.

It is all white with rows and rows of ruffles made from tulle.

Isn't it pretty?

Also added this wicker shelf I found at GW

Also added a scarf and some pearls around the mirror, I wonder why there is a pink blob on my curtain in the picture?  Going to work on it some more this weekend.  Also going to work on painting this weekend before it gets so hot.  What are your plans for the weekend?

Another sweet gift from my blogging sister

I received yet another sweet gift from my blogging sister, I received the gift in the mail and it was such a surprise.  My youngest son went to the mailbox in hoping he would have some Birthday cards and there was something for me!!!  Sorry it took me awhile to do a post but I have been having some internet issues and since another one of my sons works for the cable company I called my favorite cable guy and he came right over and put a new modem in for me ;)

Note cards in my favorite color pink tied with some pink tulle with some really sweet flowers, she also sent me a sweet card.  I love being a part of the Blogging Sisters Thank you so much my secret blogging sister.

Zermatt, Switzerland

Do you watch "The Bachelor"?
I don't usually, I think most of it is staged.  But tonight I turned on the TV and it happened to be on ABC and saw that The Bachelor was filmed in Switzerland in the beautiful quaint town of Zermatt.  And I said wow I was there!!!
I went in the month of September and it was Oktoberfest in Germany.  I had the most wonderful time and it came at the most perfect time since I was going through a divorce.
Here are some pictures of when we went to the Matterhorn....beautiful
These pictures cannot even come close to how beautiful it really was

Beautiful....did I say beautiful?

And here I am in front of the Matterhorn

Have you ever been?  Where have you been that was breath taking?
I am going to share more pictures of my trip to Europe when I went to Germany and Austria and Switzerland.
Thank you for visiting!!!

A Fun Festival

How was your weekend?  It rained all day today here in Florida, YUCK!!!
My son Corey, the son that went to Thailand back in November?   Today he invited me to go to a Thai festival, it was raining kinda bad but we decided to go ahead and try to enjoy the day.  Oh by the way.....this is my son and my daughter-in-law...yep he got married!!!!  Told them they need to get to work at getting me a granddaughter :)

They had outside tent like (tops no sides) any way several "tents" were filled with delicious food that people prepared and some of the proceeds were to be donated to the temple.
I do love spicy food even though my tummy might disagree :)
Excuse my attempt at Thai......  we had Pad Thai...this is one of my favorite dishes that she has made for us and it is sooo good!!!  We also had Chicken Satay (Chicken grilled on a stick), Egg roll, Sticky rice with mangoes marinated like in a coconut sauce,  Papaya salad which is well liked by the women in Thailand.  It is a VERY SPICY salad and they like it cause it helps them to loose weight .... (I need to have her make a batch for me so I can have it EVERY day).  Love that salad also but my lips were burning and I had to stop eating it.  Kai Hong which is a ball of sesame seeds and a taro filling, did not like that one so much.  Also had these little orange balls that reminded me of little balls of dough deep fried and then covered in a sweet sauce...they were good!!!   I hope I got the names right, I am still in the learning stage :)

There were two of these standing guard to protect the temple.

The alter was beautiful with all the flowers and the Buddha in gold

The art work on all of the walls were fantastic so much detail.

Chandeliers all over on the ceiling.

It is so interesting to learn another culture isn't it?

Isn't it cute?

Been playing with PhotoScape with my pictures.
