My weekend

I really need to kick into high gear with only 5 more days till Christmas.  I haven't finished my shopping or I haven't sent my gifts yet to my family in Michigan...always finding one more thing to add to the package.

How was your weekend?
What are you making for Christmas Eve dinner or Christmas Dinner?
And you would be so proud of me I have not added anything to the tree since last Sunday :)  A whole 8 days!!!!

This is a tree in my bedroom I bought it last year on Christmas Eve at Kohls.  I didn't do too much with this tree...but I have plans for next year :)

This is a picture of my son Ryan with my two grandsons Griffin Renner (3) and Holden Alexander (5) (I love their names).  I was so excited I babysat for them on Friday and they spent the night.  The two boys and I watched Despicable Me had popcorn and we slept on the sectional couch.  The next morning Griffin wanted oatmeal and Holden wanted pancakes so I made oatmeal for Griffin but then he didn't want it so he had pancakes with his brother.  Geez what you don't do for your grandchildren.  They call me MEMA I love it since it is different than "Grandma"  The boys and I had so much fun can't wait till next time!!!  Then Saturday I went to a birthday party to my friend's son Doug.  My son Jason and Doug have been friends since they were 2 and 3 months old, now he is married and has twin boys.  Dougie calls me Aunt Sue still which just tickles me and I want the twins to call me MEMA Sue.  SO I got to spoil the twins on Saturday, they are 10 months old and one of them is walking and the other is a little more timid but he will soon I am sure now that his twin is walking.  I just love babies!!!!   I have 4 boys and 2 grandsons that I love dearly....but why couldn't I have a girl?  Hopefully one of my other boys will have a girl someday.  I need to share all this pink and lace loveliness that I have with someone :)

HOPE YOUR WEEKEND WAS AS FUN AS MINE!!!

Christmas pictures

I have been thinking about these pictures and found them this morning.  This is a picture of my sister Cheryl, me, my brother Tim and my dad.  My mother made the pajamas for all of us and she also made the Humpty Dumpty in the left upper side.  You put your pj's in the Humpty Dumpty's and put the Humpty Dumpty on your bed so your pjs would be ready for you the next night.  I think my mother also made the monkey's
This is a picture of my sister Cheryl and I back in 1958.  I am the oldest and my sister is 1 year younger.  Look at the snow and look at that car!!!  Aren't we cute in our red snowsuits?

This is also my sister Cheryl and I even though we were a year apart my mother always dressed us as twins.  Look at me I am posing for the camera what a ham, while my sister is getting into her stocking.  Do you see the stockings back then?

Well this took me over an hour to post my mouse to my computer has a mind of its own!!  I am on my way to get me a new one
Enjoy your day!!!

Still decorating the tree

I can't believe I am still decorating the tree!!!  I found some ribbon at Joann's with cherubs and musical notes on it and I added that to the tree along with some lace.  After I did that tonight I told myself I needed to stop decorating the tree and get some other things done I need to do.
This is the last picture I am going to take of the tree, it still isn't exactly what I want...I bought some pink tulle and wanted to wrap it around the tree to get more pink on the tree.
My little village under the tree....it kinda looks red doesn't it?
This is a vignette on my tables in my living room  I love the crocheted angel

Another cabinet vignette I found the little cottage at a antique market the other day, isn't it cute?

Here is a little village I made in the family room.....I am going to bleach the trees just haven't gotten to it yet if I only I would leave that stinkin white tree alone :=)
I also wanted to thank all of you that have visited me and left me the sweet comments about my tree. Julie Marie, Char, Rebecca, Mari, Nina, Julie, Bella, Susan, Heirloom Gypsy, Jodi, Lisa, Missy, Suzanne, Melanie, Heather, Jacqueline, Tammy, and Donna.
Cindy thank you I wish I could change the colors of this house but since I am renting I have to deal with it but I do like the big front window.   It does need some curtains though.
Thank you all for visiting and I need to get started on my other projects!!

It's Only Just Begun

I have looked at your beautiful blogs today and see all the beautiful posts that all of you have done.  Everything you all have created is just so inspiring!!!
I have started decorating for Christmas but after I see all of your pretty things  I want to start all over with some thing different.
Do you have your shopping done?  I know what I want Santa to bring me!!!!!  (A new camera)   Did you send Santa your list?
I have my tree up but I know I will change around the decorations, take some off, put some different ones back on and then change it again.....

I love to decorate for Christmas and isn't it fun every year to unwrap all the decorations you had last year but forgot you had them?  It is like getting new pretty things every year from your storage.

I wonder what my tree will look like tomorrow?
