My first Christmas decorating!!!

I wanted to share with you a couple of things I have made for my Christmas decorating this year:

I think these are so sweet!!!  Funny story about making this.  I am dog sitting for my son's dog while he is in Thailand, On Wednesday I needed to do some errands so it is the first time I have left the dog alone since he has been here.  When my son Justin got home from school he found the dog ripped open the bag of the "Fake Snow" and it was EVERY WHERE!!!  He must have been upset that I left him alone for the day!!!

I also embellished these snowflakes:

I bought the snowflakes at DT and had the flowers I love the shabby chic look of the snowflakes!!!
Two bucks and I have 20 cute snowflakes!!!!

Enjoy your week!!!!

Some News!!!

My son and his new bride
My son was married today in Thailand
I am sad that I wasn't there  They had their wedding over in Thailand so her mother could be included with the planning.  Her father had passed away so I am glad they married in Thailand for her family

They had their ceremony in a Monk Hospital.  The Monks use the money that they receive for ceremonies like this to raise money for the hospital and the temple.
Love you my son and my new daughter-in-law!!!

Oh Sandy Oh Sandy.......

I am glad we are only going to get some wind and probably some rain with Hurricane Sandy

The winds are around 30 and the storm is about 270 miles from Orlando.

I have made something I wanted to share with you

I had this heart from my "country decor" and so I thought I would try to fix it so I could include it in my shabby chic bedroom

Almost half way done with my strips of dryer sheets.

All done!!! I used strips of dryer sheets to make this...isn't it pretty?

I hope your weekend is wonderful!!!!

I need some help with the new blogger!!!!

Are you frustrated with the new blogger?  I have been having a heck of a time to have the blogs I follow show up.  It says I am not following anyone?  Do you have any ideas what I am doing wrong?  Addition to that I am having a problem with Firefox and Google Chrome.  Also been getting some viruses I am guessing from the sites I go to when looking for jobs.
I haven't written in a month so I thought I would let you know what I have been up to.
I STILL HAVE NOT FOUND A JOB!!!!  Very frustrating and so emotionally draining if I don't find something soon.  I have been blessed that my parents have financially helped me out the past few months, if I do not find a job in the next 4 months I will have to give up and put my stuff in storage and go up to Mich where my parents live.

Anyway here are a few things I have been working on:

I think I am going to do a little more to this.

Turned these into
the two on the left are the ones I made and the one on the right I bought from Carol at Polka Dot Closet
Changed this shade to this:
Embellished this shade too
Took these hearts and fixed them up to look like
I now want to make some little hearts.
This shade is for my craft table lamp
This weekend in Orlando was beautiful!!!!  Decided to do some painting so I will share that with you when I am finished.
How was your weekend?
I am sorry I haven't visited my blogs I love but if anyone can help me so I can get them back would be so appreciated.

I haven't added any pictures yet but planning on doing that soon.  All the pages turned out so nice and I cannot wait to see the album with my pictures.  Teresa Collins paper and accessories are awesome!!!

A little bit of History you didn't know but was afraid to ask :)

Tomorrow is my birthday...we won't go into detail what birthday it is but I wanted to share with you some "vintage" photos:

Bald is beautiful!!!
I did not have much hair on my head!!!!
My mom and I in front of the little one bedroom cabin that we lived in that was on my grandmothers property.  My mom was pregnant with my sister.  My sister and I are twelve months apart, we always celebrated our birthdays at the beginning of September since her birthday is Sept 2nd.
I think I was in kindergarten or 1st grade in this picture.  My mom always permed my hair to look like Shirley Temple now if that doesn't tell my age ;)

This is a picture of my sister and I on Christmas Eve I think I was about 5 years old and my sister was 4. I was such a ham while my sister was more interested in her stocking.  My mom always dressed us as twins.

This is another school picture taken in 1962, I think my mom used to cut my hair notice the bangs
This is my sisters and brothers I am the oldest of 5 my youngest sister wasn't born yet.  My mom still used to dress my sister and I as twins even though we were a year apart.
This is when I was 18 years old can you tell it was the 70's?

Well enough of these I haven't scanned all of the vintage pictures yet.  Oh how I wish sometimes I could go back in time.  Don't you?
Tomorrow also marks the anniversary of the tragedy that happened in New York at the twin towers.  Something that we will never forget please take a moment and remember the people we lost on that day
Thanks for visiting and letting me share some pictures with you on my birthday!!!
