Weekend Finds

I went treasure hunting yesterday and look what I found!

The lamp ($9) and crocheted doily $4) I got from a antique mall.  The silver tray and glass vase I got from Goodwill ($2 for both) and the little pink creamer I got from Marshall for $3.  The lamp shades I just LOVE they have little pink roses on them I got for $1.99 a piece and they only had four left (I bought all four) and the little chippy bird was $1.49 at Old Time Pottery.  I spent under $30 bucks!!!  I am thinking about painting the tray white but I also like the tarnished look...which do you like?
What treasures did you find on your weekend scavenge?
Enjoy your Sunday (I am in the process of putting away Halloween decorations...it sure is fun putting them up but not much fun taking them down.)

Suzann, As I type I am looking over at my dining room table which has all my Halloween stuff parked on it. I think (because I am basically lazy today) that I like the look and might leave it that way until December 1st. I can't beleive you got all that stuff for #30. I love that little lamp and those shades with the rosebuds are adorable. Great finds! Hugs-Diana

I love your silver tray! While I am definitely the type to paint just about everything white, I would leave this tray as is if it were me, love the patina! And your little bird is so cute. You found some amazing treasures!

Nice finds. I like the tray tarnished and silver. It will be a nice contrast with your lighter items. Glad you enjoyed yourself!

You found some beautiful things and I am excited to see what you do with them. As for the tray, I don't decorate with white but love the look. I think the tray would be beautiful left alone or painted.....I guess I am sitting on the fence on this one!! HA, Char

I hear ya with the Halloween decor. My village took me 2 days to take down. I love finding good finds like that. When my neighbor moved she gave me her grandma's tea set. Can you believe that??? If I didn't take it she was giving it to good will.
Thanks for the comments about my cat.

Suzann you have a lovely blog! I am so glad you came by so I could find you.
I found some awesome things when I went treasure hunting this past week. Lots of laces and hardware items with lots of rusty painted finishes.

Ooooh! I want to go shopping with you! The treasures I come home with are great, but for me it's really all about the hunt. When I give Christmas gifts (to everyone except my inlaws) I brag about how little I spent :)

Great job! And please pass along a "congratulations" and "good for you!" to your mother for me. How wonderful.
