I had the best weekend!!!

How was your weekend?
Today was my birthday and I had an awesome weekend!!  On Friday night I went to a reggae concert with my oldest sons Jason and Corey, it was fun to spend time with my oldest boys.  I cannot believe my little boys turned into men where did the time go?

Saturday my friend Linda came over from Clearwater and we spent the afternoon checking out new resturants and shopping then we came home and had a wonderful dinner.  Linda is the friend I went on the cruise with and so we spent some time looking for the next cruise ;-)
Sunday morning we had brunch with my four sons and grandsons.

My grandsons spent the whole time playing games on the IPad  and phones.  My friend left to go back to Clearwater and my boys and grandsons came over and we swam in the pool.  Then my youngest boys Ryan and Justin took me to dinner to a small Italian place.   After rereading this it looks like I spent the whole weekend eating  :-)

Then the servers brought me a piece of cake and they all sang happy birthday to me.  The cake and  Tiramisu was divine!!   Yum!!!
The girls helped me with the desserts :-)
So tomorrow I need to start my exercising routines again......Anyone need a work out partner?........
As I was sitting today watching my sons,  Ryan with his sons and "Uncle Corey" with his nephews I thought back when my older three boys were growing up and how successful they have become and what a great daddy Ryan is with his boys and how I wish I could turn back time and snuggle up with them.  Return to the  hugs and kisses, notes they used to leave me before they went off to school watching them with their friends and when they were in soccer and little league.  When they were born and looking at their sweet faces for the first time, nurturing and caring for them and hoping you are making the right decisions and wondering what decisions they will make for themselves.  I watched my grandsons while they were playing games today and wondered what decisions will they make for themselves, will they be happy, will they marry and have children.  What kind of work will they do, how many kids, will they still live here where they grew up, or will there dreams take them to far off places.  I guess as I get older I wish I could turn back time and spend time with my boys again and give them more hugs and kisses and let them know they are the most important things in my life.  Being one year older makes me feel so blessed and I would do every single second over again.

My weekend was the best!!!

I am so glad you had such a great weekend and Happy Birthday to you!
Boys...I have boys... nothing like them and if we could all just go back, it would be such fun to do it all over again.
Looks like you are surrounded by wonderful men and the next generation could use all those left over hugs.

I missed this before. Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday to you- a bit belated I am afraid! I have been having some real inflammatory issues and haven't been on the computer nearly as much.

Your words are so thought provoking. I wish I had spend less time working and more time just loving on my kids. But, I am blessed that they, too, turned out to be good kids (mostly!;>)

Your family is wonderful...and while I am thinking about it - I wanted to tell you that I keep your little book that you made for me right here on my desk when I can look at it every day-and I always think of it and say a little prayer for your day! xo Diana

Traverse City Michigan!!! Susanne, you have made my day! I'll bet you have heard of my husband's family, Denoyer Brothers Moving and Storage. It was so kind of you to leave a comment, and again it a pleasure to know someone knows how very special a place TC is to be!
