Happy Friday!!!
Wow its Friday f-i-n-a-l-l-y!!!!
I have been so wrapped up in my worries so I am so glad it is Friday
Anyway tonight my son is playing in the Band at a football game over in Eustis. It is quite far from here so I told you in my last post that my hours have been cut and soon to be laid off so I need to save my few dollars so I decided I better just stay home instead of buying the gas to get over there plus entry fee for the football game. I am very proud that he is in Band
He doesn't look like he is happy he is in Band though does he?
Well anyways back to my evening by myself I was hungry I only had celery with peanut butter for lunch. I had bought some ground beef and was going to make Taco's for Justin and me but with all the Fall Decor I have seen on the Blogs I thought about some Chili. Now mind you it is hard to think of something so comforting as Chili when I live in 90 degree weather still Ugh!!!
So I thought I am going to make some Chili and crank up the air conditioning that will help!!!
So I browned up the ground beef with some cut up onions. Justin doesn't like onions so I put the onions into my small little food processor so he will never know (heeheehee). Put the browned ground beef into the chili pot and looked for some crushed tomatoes
and then I looked in my cupboard and I didn't have any tomato sauce to put in the chili. Hmmmm then I remembered my ex mother in law used to make her chili with some
Yep Tomato Soup!!!
I also used some Rotel tomatoes to make it spicy and added the red kidney beans and pinto beans. But then I needed some chili mix, yes I could go through my spice shelves but... I am lazy!!!
So I remembered I had some
So I poured that into the chili pot and mixed it all up and simmered for about 30 minutes and
Put some shredded cheese over it and it was so yummy!!!
It was so good on a cold fall evening...oh that's right I need to turn down the air conditioner
Thanks for joining me and enjoy your Friday!!!!

Update: We are having a storm (normal for Florida), thundering, lightning and soon to be raining so the the chili would be good for a storm on a Friday night.....Enjoy!!!

Your chili looks and sounds yummy. Who says you can't have chili year round if you like it/ My sister-in-law lives in Fl and she makes a chili that takes three kinds of meat..
I made chili just last week! Today I did home made spaghetti.
I guess it's just that time of year, when we want to be in the kitchen making warm meals.
I always use a couple of packets of taco seasoning in my chili...tastes good, doesn't it???
Your bowl sure looks good to me!!
Enjoy your evening sweetie.
Love your "chili" recipe! lol Or shall we call it Taco tomato soup chili? I'll bet it was just wonderful. I'll trade you these 30º night temps for a bit of your heat!
I hope you get a job soon! xo Diana
