It's Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday!!!!

I want to share with you what I have been working on for the last two days.
Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month I made this book, all done in my favorite color... PINK!!!

I made this in memory of my cousin Linda.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a double mastectomy.  The cancer continued to spread to her spine and she passed away in 2007.

She was so sweet and caring, she had 4 boys (a set of twins) and then adopted her sister's 3 kids, and she loved being a mother and then a grandmother.

I loved making this book and working with all my pink paper.

Who do you know that has/had breast cancer?

Oh...I also made these tags to go with the book

Happy Pink Saturday!!!

Suzann ~xoxo~

P.S. Don't forget to self check and get a mammogram.

Please go over and visit Beverly at How Sweet The Sound to see all the pinks!!!

Hello Suzann,
Your books and tags are just gorgeous. So very sweet! I lost my very best friend to breast cancer. My life hasn't been the same since. I still miss her terribly although it's been many years now. Her youngest son and mine have been best friends ever since they were little boys.
Thank you for your visit and your lovely comment. Happy Pinks and enjoy your weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

What beautiful pinks! I also lost a loved one to breast cancer, my Grandma passed away 17 years ago. I didn't get nearly enough time with her. You would think after all these years we would have a cure.

Happy Pink and have a wonderful weekend!

Hello,
I visited your blog today - I saw you on 'Daniella Hayes'. Your blog is so lovely, and pink is a favorite of mine. We did a pink post at one time called "A Glorious Color'. I loved the pink suitcase!! Me and my daughters started a new blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. Your blog is so pretty, and the color pink always makes me smile. I hope to hear form you, and have a sweet day.

Your breast cancer book is just lovely. The papers you used and the texture is so pretty and serves to remind us all that this is the time to exam.
I am sorry you lost Linda to such a terrible disease. I don't think there is a person that has not known of someone that has passed from it.
My grandmother had it and was a survivor, my mom is a survivor and so is my mother in law.
My mother in law found out her niece was detected, had surgery and should be fine. It's a deaded, terrible disease and your beautiful book helps to remind all of us how important mamos are.
Great job Suzann,
Char

Hi Suzann,

Your book is lovely, and what a wonderful tribute to your cousin. I love your blog, and am your newest follower. We have the same background on our blogs. I love pink too, and have a hard time deciding on styles because I love so many different ones. I love the white, and french and cottage also.
there are just too many decisions! lol Love your chair, and I hope you decided how you want to decorate it. Would love to see it finished. I like the idea of the linen bottom, with a french stencil on it. So nice to meet you. I found you through Shabby Pink and Pretty blog. Looking forward to more of your posts! Please come by for a visit.
